Russia's defence ministry said on 9 October that Russian forces had carried out one large-scale and seven group strikes on sites in Ukraine between 3 and 9 October.

The ministry claimed to have hit defence-industry enterprises, logistics centres and telecommunications centres. It also listed energy and transport infrastructure that it alleged was used for Ukrainian military purposes.

The ministry additionally reported strikes on military airfields, drone production and storage sites, ammunition, fuel and military supply depots. Its briefing also mentioned temporary deployment sites for Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries.

It claimed that several Ukrainian port infrastructure facilities had been disabled, linking them to the receipt, storage and distribution of military cargo and fuel. The target list and assessment of results represent the Russian side's account.
