Ukraine announces power restrictions for October 11

Ukrenergo says scheduled power cuts will apply in some Ukrainian regions from 4 p.m. until the end of October 11.
Power limits for industry and businesses will begin an hour earlier, at 3 p.m., and continue until 11:59 p.m. Scheduled outages from 4 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. will cover all consumer categories, the company announced on October 10.
The announcement does not identify the affected regions. Interfax-Ukraine also reports that outages will involve between half and one and a half consumer groups. The company attributes the restrictions to the effects of Russian missile and drone attacks on energy infrastructure.
Ukraine's energy minister, Denys Shmyhal, reported serious difficulties transmitting electricity between regions on October 9. The new announcement sets Sunday's schedule, following earlier emergency outages.
