Ural Airlines announces larger aircraft for delayed Sukhumi flight

Ural Airlines said on October 9 that passengers from a delayed Sukhumi–Moscow flight were to travel on a larger aircraft. Of the 139 passengers registered for the original service, 110 decided to continue their journey.
Flight U6-144 to Domodedovo had been scheduled to leave on October 7 at 17:20. The carrier said a technical problem was found during the pre-flight inspection. It announced a larger aircraft for the regular October 9 service scheduled for 17:20 to carry the waiting passengers.
Another 29 passengers declined to fly. The airline said it had provided hot meals and hotel accommodation. The Ural Transport Prosecutor's Office began checking compliance with passenger rights and placed work to address the delay's causes under supervision. The carrier's announcement describes the planned departure and does not itself confirm that the passengers took off or arrived in Moscow.
