Volokolamsk dairy plans to quadruple milk-processing capacity

Molzavod Avangard in Moscow Region’s Volokolamsk district plans to expand raw-milk processing from 25 to 100 tonnes daily, the regional agriculture ministry announced on October 9.
Minister Vitaly Mosin and company director Dmitry Minchev signed a memorandum of intent at Golden Autumn 2026. The company is considering three expansion strategies. The 100-tonne figure is a future capacity target, not current throughput.
The existing plant underwent a 200-million-ruble reconstruction in 2024–2025. The next phase envisages expanded processing facilities. Interfax reports possible expansion investment of up to 1.8 billion rubles.
A subsequent dairy farm would house 2,700–3,600 cattle to supply the plant. The ministry also mentioned possible farm robotization. No completion date or final choice of expansion strategy was announced.
