Witkoff leaves palace after talks with Putin conclude

Steve Witkoff left the Konstantinovsky Palace after his meeting with Vladimir Putin ended, the Kremlin press service said.

The talks took place in St Petersburg. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed that the meeting had ended, according to Kommersant and Vedomosti.

During the open portion of the meeting, the US envoy presented documents setting out approaches to a settlement of the war in Ukraine. Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store said Witkoff was expected to return to Oslo after the talks in Russia to continue consultations.
