Yakubov and Osokina receive visas for gymnastics world championships

Mukhammadzhon Yakubov and Zlata Osokina have received their passports with Dutch visas for the artistic gymnastics world championships in Rotterdam, the Russian Gymnastics Federation said on October 14.
The federation initially learned through a public European Union information service that the applications had been approved. At that point, the Dutch embassy had not told it when the documents could be collected. The federation later confirmed that the passports and visas had been issued.
Yakubov is a reserve for the men’s team, while Osokina is an additional reserve for the women’s squad. Ilya Zaika, Saveliy Syedin, Lyudmila Roshchina, Milana Kayumova and Elizaveta Us had previously received visas.
Angelina Melnikova, Viktoria Listunova and Anna Kalmykova were refused visas. The world championships run from October 17 to 25 in Rotterdam and will be the first team qualification event for the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028.
