Air Cairo flight leaves Moscow for Hurghada after repeated delays
Air Cairo flight SM788 departed Moscow for Hurghada after a delay of more than two days, Sheremetyevo Airport said. It left on October 18 at 15:43 Moscow time.
The flight had originally been scheduled for October 16 at 01:45 Moscow time, according to airport departure-board information reported by RIA Novosti. Its departure was repeatedly postponed.
In an earlier statement, Sheremetyevo attributed a further postponement to a crew member becoming unwell. The airport said the airline had no standby crew in Russia.
Sheremetyevo said passengers were provided with hotel accommodation, meals under Russia’s Federal Aviation Rules and other support while waiting.
