Appeal court upholds recovery of over 844,000 roubles from Blinovskaya fan-club head

Russia’s Ninth Arbitration Appeal Court has upheld an order requiring the return of more than 844,000 roubles to Elena Blinovskaya’s bankruptcy estate, RIA Novosti reported on October 13, citing a source familiar with the case.
The recovery concerns Yulia Zhuikova, who ran Blinovskaya Club. The original ruling was issued in April at the request of bankruptcy administrator Maria Oznobikhina, who argued that transfers from Blinovskaya’s accounts harmed her creditors.
Zhuikova’s representative said the money funded meetings of former participants in Blinovskaya’s courses in different cities, including venue rentals. He distinguished the club from Vega, the company Zhuikova headed that organised the Path of Wishes game.
Blinovskaya’s representative also described the club as a nonprofit project and denied a connection to business splitting. The lower court ruled the disputed payments unlawful. Recovered funds are to enter the bankruptcy estate for payments to creditors.
Blinovskaya was declared bankrupt in November 2024 on her own application. The transfer dispute forms part of the process of selling her assets.
