Belgorod region extends rental compensation until year-end

Russia's Belgorod region has extended partial rental compensation for residents of 68 border settlements until December 31, 2026. Governor Alexander Shuvayev said the operational headquarters approved the extension.

The list of affected settlements, homes and streets remains unchanged. It covers areas where residents face threats to life and disrupted living conditions.

Compensation limits remain at 20 thousand rubles for ordinary families and 40 thousand rubles for large families. The payments are federally funded and made every three months.

The measure had previously been extended until October 1. Social protection bodies and municipal leaders will oversee eligibility decisions and payments.

The governor said residents who have already moved but did not previously receive compensation can apply, as can those preparing to rent accommodation. An officially registered rental agreement is required.
