Prime Video unveils new Blade Runner 2099 trailer

Prime Video presented a new trailer for Blade Runner 2099 at New York Comic Con, ahead of the series’ November 25 premiere.

Michelle Yeoh plays Olwen, a Replicant approaching the end of her life, while Hunter Schafer portrays Cora, a fugitive who takes on the identity of a Blade Runner. Their search for a runaway brings them together in a Los Angeles shaped by a changed balance of power between humans and Replicants.

The limited series takes place 50 years after Blade Runner 2049. All eight episodes will be released together on November 25, 2026, rather than arriving in weekly instalments.

Silka Luisa created the series and serves as showrunner. Ridley Scott, director of the original 1982 film, is an executive producer. Dimitri Abold and Lewis Gribben are also among the regular cast.
