Bryansk governor reports 36 drones destroyed over the past day

Russian forces destroyed 36 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones over the Bryansk region during the past day, Governor Yegor Kovalchuk said on October 9.

In a post on the Max platform, the governor listed the units involved in countering the attacks. He said the drones were destroyed by Russian Defence Ministry air defence units, mobile fire teams from the BARS-Bryansk brigade and transport police, and special units of the regional National Guard directorate.

The governor’s figure covers the Bryansk region over a full day. TASS also carried his statement with the same number of destroyed aircraft.

Separately, the Russian Defence Ministry reported destroying 505 Ukrainian drones over Russian regions from 20:00 on October 8 until 08:00 on October 9. The national and regional statements cover different periods, so their figures should not be added together.
