Tula governor reports 14 drones destroyed overnight

Air defences destroyed 14 Ukrainian drones over Russia’s Tula region overnight into October 9, Governor Dmitry Milyaev said. He reported no casualties.

Milyaev posted the information on his MAX channel. He said Russian Defence Ministry air defence units destroyed the aircraft during a drone alert.

According to Tula News Service, the morning all-clear was issued at 07:18. The previous alert had been in force since 14:05 on October 8. The figure of 14 aircraft therefore concerns the overnight episode rather than all incidents during the day.

Authorities issued a new drone warning later on October 9. Milyaev urged residents to remain calm and follow official advice, and reminded them that the emergency services number is 112.
