Diesel prices decline in weekly Russian exchange trading

The average exchange price of winter diesel fell 6.9% during October 5–9, while interseasonal diesel declined 3.2%. AI-92 petrol became slightly cheaper but AI-95 rose, according to RIA Novosti's calculations based on trading data.
The calculations refer to the St Petersburg Exchange's territorial index for European Russia. The comparison period was the working week of September 28 to October 2. The average AI-92 price dropped from 69,572 to 69,377 rubles per tonne, a decline of 0.3%.
AI-95 moved in the opposite direction. Its average price increased from 69,904 to 70,910 rubles per tonne, up 1.4% over the week. The two petrol grades therefore recorded contrasting changes in their exchange prices.
Interseasonal diesel fell from 69,340 to 67,151 rubles per tonne. Winter diesel dropped from 85,783 to 79,880 rubles. Winter diesel had the largest percentage decline among the four fuel types listed. These figures describe average wholesale exchange prices, rather than prices paid at filling stations.
