Eight trolleybus passengers unhurt in collision with motorcycle

A route 10 trolleybus collided with a motorcycle in Simferopol. Its eight passengers were unhurt, while the 43-year-old motorcyclist was taken to hospital, the Interior Ministry's press office said on October 9.

According to preliminary police information, the 52-year-old woman driving the trolleybus was turning left at a junction. The motorcycle was travelling in the opposite direction. This describes the agency's initial account, rather than a final determination of responsibility.

Crimea Inform reported that the collision occurred at around 08:10 at the junction of Danilova Street and Aeroflotskaya Street. Prosecutors also reported the crash and said the passengers inside the trolleybus were not injured.

Traffic police are investigating the circumstances. Prosecutors plan to assess compliance with legal requirements for passenger transport. The cited Interior Ministry statement did not describe the severity of the motorcyclist's injuries.
