Fakel equal Russian league record with 28 matches without a win

Voronezh's Fakel extended their winless run in Russia's top flight to 28 matches after losing 5:0 to Lokomotiv in the tenth round on October 10.

Opta Sports figures reported by Sport-Express and Championat put Fakel level with Yaroslavl's Shinnik for the competition's longest run without a victory.

Fakel's most recent Premier League win came against Akhmat in October 2024, when they prevailed 3:2. They subsequently finished last in the 2024/25 season with 18 points and were relegated to the First League.

Since returning to the top division, the Voronezh side have drawn three and lost seven of their opening ten matches. Their three points leave them in sixteenth place. Fakel's next league fixture is away to Krylia Sovetov on October 17.
