Forecaster expects Moscow temperatures to reach 15 degrees this weekend

Daytime temperatures in Moscow could reach 15 degrees Celsius on October 17 and 18, Meteonovosti forecaster Tatyana Pozdnyakova told RBC.

Her forecast puts Saturday's temperatures at 14–15 degrees and Sunday's at 13–15, around five to six degrees above the seasonal norm. The south and southeast of Moscow Region are expected to be particularly warm.

Pozdnyakova expects this to be the last weekend of comparable warmth this autumn. She forecasts nighttime temperatures in the region falling below freezing towards the end of October.

Mikhail Leus, a forecaster at the Phobos weather centre, separately told RBC that snow was possible in Moscow during the final third of October, between October 21 and 31.
