Frankfurt police report 63 detentions on Max Korzh concert day
Frankfurt police reported on October 11 that 63 people were detained during events connected with Max Korzh's concert the previous day. Approximately 27,000 fans attended the Belarusian musician's show at Deutsche Bank Park.
The police account said 25 people were refused entry because they carried pyrotechnics or other prohibited items. Security checks had been strengthened following incidents involving fans in the preceding days.
During the show, security staff removed spectators who used pyrotechnics. Fireworks were set off near the stadium again after the performance ended at approximately 11 p.m. Police also reported fights among attendees and resistance to officers.
The total of 63 covers the concert day, rather than only the period after the performance. Officers also issued numerous orders to leave particular areas. The published account does not list individual charges against those detained.
