Golikova sets out two insurance pension increases for 2027

Russia plans to increase insurance pensions twice in 2027, on February 1 and April 1. Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova outlined the increases provided for in the Social Fund budget on October 9.

The first increase is to reflect actual inflation, with a preliminary estimate of 6.8%. A further 3.3% adjustment is planned from April 1. The percentages refer to separate stages of the increase, and the February figure remains a forecast.

Golikova spoke at a press conference launching the nationwide Unlimited Opportunities award competition. The initiative is organised by the government's Council on Guardianship in the Social Sphere, which she chairs.

The Labour Ministry had also announced two adjustments in the fund's draft budget for 2027–2029. It estimated the average old-age insurance pension in 2027 at 29,900 roubles. That is an average rather than the amount every pensioner will receive.
