Kyiv utility reports lower water pressure after power disruptions

Kyivvodokanal reported reduced water pressure on Kyiv's right bank on October 8. The utility warned that some buildings could temporarily lose their water supply.
Its statement listed the Sviatoshynskyi, Solomianskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, Holosiivskyi and Pecherskyi districts. RIA Novosti carried the utility's account. Ukrainian outlet NV also reported water supply disruption amid electricity problems.
Energy company DTEK reported emergency power outages in the capital that day. Metro and surface electric transport services were suspended. RIA Novosti also reported that the Verkhovna Rada building lost power.
The utility's notice described conditions at the time of its October 8 statement. It warned of possible interruption in individual buildings, rather than establishing that every resident of the listed districts had lost water. The quoted notice did not specify a restoration deadline.
