Pasechnik reports power outages in 23 municipalities

Leonid Pasechnik reported emergency power outages in 23 municipalities, including Luhansk, on October 17 after an attack on energy infrastructure that he attributed to Ukrainian forces.

He said interruptions in Luhansk affected the Leninsky, Kamennobrodsky and Artyomovsky districts. Social and medical facilities were promptly connected to backup power sources, according to Pasechnik.

He said a threat of further attacks remained. Repair crews would begin work when conditions allowed, while some customers would be switched to backup supply lines.
