Powderfinger announce dates for their 2027 return to touring

Australian rock band Powderfinger have confirmed an 18-show tour across September and October 2027. The schedule follows their reunion announcement, after the group broke up in 2010.

The opening show is scheduled for September 3 in the band’s hometown of Brisbane. Cairns, Perth, Sydney and Adelaide will follow, with the tour ending in Melbourne on October 30.

The official schedule lists four shows each in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, and two each in Cairns, Perth and Adelaide. Presales begin on October 14, 2026, with general sales starting on October 19. Sale opening times vary by city.

Bernard Fanning announced the band’s return in a video released on Friday. The musicians said earlier suggestions to tour again had not lined up for everyone in the group.

Powderfinger briefly reunited for a performance at Splendour in the Grass in 2017. The new announcement sets out a full tour covering six Australian cities.
