Russia's consumer watchdog reports nearly 50,000 blocked supplement-selling resources
Rospotrebnadzor released an updated cumulative total and named examples of products prohibited from sale in Russia. The figure does not describe a single day's operation.
The agency published its statement on the Max platform on October 12. Its specialists continue identifying webpages offering prohibited dietary supplements for retail sale and issuing decisions to restrict access.
Examples included Astragalus capsules without state registration and Natrol Melatonin 3 mg, 240 tablets. For the latter product, the agency cited missing registration and information about regulated ingredients in quantities inconsistent with established requirements.
Rospotrebnadzor separately classified the herbal Antiparasite dragees sold under the Kedrovy Mir brand, in a 140 g package, as dangerous. Those assessments concern the products specified in the statement.
The agency had reported 48,600 blocked resources on October 5. Its latest announcement gives a rounded total, so it does not establish the exact number of additional restrictions.
