Russia's defence ministry claims control of Lukashovo and Lobanovka

Russia's defence ministry said on October 10 that its forces had taken control of Lukashovo and Lobanovka in Ukraine's Kharkiv region. It linked the advance to combat within an encirclement.
The Russian military's bulletin identified both settlements as being in Ukraine's Kharkiv region. RIA Novosti reported its claim of a change in control.
Interfax, citing the ministry, said assault units of the 344th Motor Rifle Regiment of the 69th Motor Rifle Division operated in Lukashovo. The ministry attributed the Lobanovka operation to the 34th Separate Guards Motor Rifle Brigade.
The ministry said troops began clearing buildings, basements and surrounding ground after securing positions in the villages. These details are presented as the Russian side's account of the fighting.
