Russian Knights confirmed for Airshow China in Zhuhai

The Russian Knights aerobatic team will perform at Airshow China in Zhuhai. Organisers announced the Russian team’s participation at a Beijing press conference on Oct. 13.

Zhuhai Mayor Wu Zetong said the team had taken part in the exhibition seven times since 1998. Its return was also confirmed by China’s official military news outlet China Military.

The 16th airshow will include performances by China’s Bayi aerobatic team. Organisers also announced an invitation to a team from the United Arab Emirates.

The Russian Knights began using two-seat Su-30SM fighters in 2016 and Su-35S aircraft in 2019. Both types form part of the team’s fleet.

Participation alone does not establish which aircraft will be used in each display programme. The cited organisers’ statement does not specify the Russian display’s exact aircraft lineup.
