Enerhodar authorities report shelling at thermal plant without injuries

Enerhodar administration head Maxim Pukhov said on October 10 that the Zaporizhzhia thermal power plant’s grounds had been shelled and a drone had struck near a medical facility.

Pukhov reported at least four shell impacts at the thermal plant. He said there were no injuries and no fire.

An earlier drone attack targeted the grounds of Medical Unit No. 145. The aircraft exploded on the road near its kitchen building, causing no injuries or damage, according to the administration head.

Pukhov blamed Ukrainian forces for both attacks. RBC and Interfax carried his account.

The thermal plant’s equipment supports the external electricity supply to the nearby Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. The nuclear plant’s press service had previously reported damage to that equipment during shelling in late September.
