Indian embassy confirms death of citizen wounded in Riyadh airport attack
An Indian citizen injured in the October 10 attack on King Khalid International Airport died the following day. India's embassy in Saudi Arabia confirmed the death.
In its October 11 update, the embassy said it was in contact with the victim's family and would help arrange the early return of the remains to India. The statement did not identify the person who died.
The embassy had previously reported that 11 Indians were among those injured and that officials were contacting local authorities and hospitals. The update confirms that one member of that group subsequently died. The Times of India reported ten other injured Indians.
The announcement concerns the consequences of Saturday's attack. It is separate from the new strike on the airport on October 11. The embassy said it would release further information as it became available.
