Razin posts pool photograph after temporary removal at Metallurg

Metallurg coach Andrey Razin, temporarily removed from his duties with the team, posted a pool photograph and said he was focusing on his health. Sports outlets reported the post on October 10.

The image shows the 52-year-old wearing a swimming cap and goggles. In his caption, he wished followers a good morning and referred to restoring nerve cells. The post concerns his rest and health.

Razin was removed after Metallurg’s 2:5 home loss to Admiral. Vladimir Vorobyov became acting head coach. Gorobzor reported that the club’s management described the decision as temporary.

Lenta.ru linked the removal to disagreements with players. Razin’s wife disputed the account of a conflict within the team, saying that there was one dissatisfied player.

Under Vorobyov, Metallurg subsequently beat Admiral 3:0 and Salavat Yulaev 7:1. Lenta.ru reported that the team led the Eastern Conference and the league’s overall standings.
