Two Uzbek citizens discharged after Riyadh airport injuries
Two Uzbek citizens suffered minor injuries in the October 10 attack on Terminal 3 at King Khalid International Airport. They were discharged after examination and medical care, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Omonulla Fayziyev said.
In his October 11 statement, Fayziyev said the injured citizens were born in 1977 and 1997. They received first aid before being taken to Diriyah Hospital in Saudi Arabia for checks and necessary treatment.
According to preliminary Foreign Ministry information, about 20 other Uzbek citizens at the airport during the incident were unharmed. That estimate concerns Uzbek citizens specifically.
Uzbekistan's embassy in Riyadh continues to monitor the situation with Saudi authorities. Diplomats are maintaining contact with their citizens and providing consular assistance. RIA Novosti and UzDaily carried the statement.
